Operate Clarity Reports

Clarity PON Report

The Clarity PON Report is part of the Clarity enhancement to Mosaic One. Available from the Reports tab in Mosaic One Operate, the report provides proactive visibility into PONs that may be experiencing service degradation and helps operators understand why those issues are occurring.

The report combines AI‑driven analysis with expert‑built insights to identify suspected root causes and predict the impact on subscriber experience for each PON, enabling faster troubleshooting and more informed operational decisions.

Accessing the Report

  1. Sign in to Mosaic One.
  2. Navigate to Operate.
  3. Select the Reports tab.

Report Sections

The Clarity PON Report is organized into four main sections: Network Overview, Priority PONs to Address, Chart View, and a Detailed PON View table. Selecting a PON from any section can open a PON Details dialog with a deeper, drill‑down breakdown of the analysis behind that PON.

Network Overview

The Network Overview section provides a high‑level summary of overall PON health. It displays the total number of monitored PONs, breaks that total down into Critical, Warning, and Healthy counts, and summarizes how many ONUs are impacted. This section helps operators quickly understand the scope and severity of active issues and can be collapsed or expanded using the Show/Hide toggle. Selecting a Critical, Warning, or Healthy count filters the Detailed PON View table below to matching PONs.

Priority PONs to Address

The Priority PONs to Address section identifies PONs that may require immediate attention due to a critical or warning health status. By default, this section is displayed in Card View, where each PON is shown as a card summarizing the Experience, Root Cause, and Action most likely to apply.

Selecting a PON card navigates directly to the Port Details page for the selected PON, where users can review PON‑specific utilization, ONU and subscriber information, and other diagnostics to support troubleshooting and follow‑up.

Users can toggle to Chart View to visualize issue distribution across PONs.

Chart View

The Chart View section provides a visual summary of PON health across the monitored network, enabling quick identification of dominant root causes, recommended actions, and experience impacts.

This section includes three interactive donut charts:

  • Top Root Causes – Displays the distribution of suspected causes contributing to PON issues.
  • Recommended Actions – Shows the distribution of recommended next steps across the monitored PONs.
  • Subscriber Experience – Shows the distribution of predicted subscriber experiences across affected PONs.

Hovering over a chart segment displays additional details, including the category and percentage of affected PONs. Selecting a segment applies a filter to the Detailed PON View table below, narrowing the list to PONs that match the selected criteria.

Detailed PON View

The Detailed PON View table presents a sortable and filterable list of PONs included in the report, enabling deeper analysis and operational follow‑up. Each row represents a PON and summarizes key intelligence needed to understand the issue and determine next steps.

The table can be displayed in two view modes:

  • PON View – Displays a flat list of all PONs.
  • Node View – Groups PONs under their parent node, with each group header showing the system name and the number of PONs in that group.

The table includes the following columns:

  • Details – Selecting the view icon opens the PON Details dialog for that PON.
  • PON Location – The location of the PON. Selecting the location navigates to the Port Details page for that PON.
  • Health Status – The PON's overall health level: Critical, Warning, or Healthy.
  • Impacted ONUs – The number of impacted ONUs out of the total ONUs on the PON.
  • Primary Root Cause – The most probable underlying cause of the issue.
  • Recommended Actions – The top recommended next step to address the issue.
  • Primary Predicted Subscriber Experience – The most probable service impact for subscribers on the PON, based on AI‑driven analysis.

The table supports filtering and sorting across columns and includes export capabilities to enable offline analysis or sharing with other teams. This view is intended for advanced troubleshooting and day‑to‑day operational workflows.

PON Details Dialog

Selecting the Details icon for a PON opens the PON Details dialog, providing a deeper drill‑down view of the analysis for that PON. This detailed view includes two tabs:

  • Overview – A summary of the PON's health along with an Insight Distribution chart showing the count of detected insights by category.
  • Analysis – A breakdown of all suspected Root Causes, Recommended Actions, and Predicted Subscriber Experiences considered for the PON, each shown with its relative confidence.

Data Sources and Intelligence

The report is backed by AI and expert‑curated insights derived from telemetry collected from the access network infrastructure.

Clarity Preview Availability

The Clarity PON Report is available as part of the Clarity enhancement to Mosaic One. By default, all tenants will see a Preview version of Clarity functionality populated with example data. This allows users to explore the report layout, workflows, and insights prior to enabling full Clarity capabilities.
